Claratyne® FAQs

No, Claratyne® is available over the counter in pharmacies and all major supermarkets.

When taken as directed, all Claratyne® products are non-drowsy.

Claratyne® is a non sedating antihistamine that can provide fast, non-drowsy, 24 hour relief of the symptoms of hayfever and year round allergies such as, sneezing, runny nose, watery/itchy eyes and itchy rash.

The product can be taken any time of the day. Always follow the label directions. See individual product pages for label directions.

Take Claratyne® with a glass of water. It does not matter if you take Claratyne® before or after food.

The product can be taken with or without food.

Do not cut or break Claratyne® products in half.

Do not take more than the recommended dose—always follow label directions. See individual product pages for label directions.
In case of overdose, we recommend that you contact your doctor, pharmacist or the Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26 for advice in Australia or National Poisons Centre on 0800 764 766 in New Zealand, or go to Accident and Emergency at your nearest hospital.

Do not take another dose. Always follow the directions on the label. If symptoms persist after 5 days, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

If you are pregnant, please consult with your doctor before starting Claratyne® or if you become pregnant while you are taking Claratyne®.

We recommend that breastfeeding women consult with their doctor before starting Claratyne®.
